By Ferry

Local lines:
There are daily ferry lines from Split to Stari Grad (Hvar) as well as catamaran lines from Split to Jelsa and Hvar town.

International and national routes:
There is an all-year coastal car-ferry line which connects Rijeka - Zadar - Split - Stari Grad/Hvar - Korčula - Sobra/Mljet - Dubrovnik – Bari.

There is an all-year international car-ferry line which connects Ancona (Italy) - Split - Hvar (Stari Grad) - Korčula

By Plane

Croatian Airlines is currently the main carrier with the most frequent schedule, operating regular services from Split International Airport to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, Vienna, Zurich, Tel Aviv, and, seasonally, to Manchester.

There are a number of airlines operating a service from various international locations to Split Airport:

British Airways now offer direct flights from the UK to Split. Contact British Airways on:

Currently none of the low cost airlines are flying to Croatia. However they are flying to neighbouring Italy & Slovenia, from which Croatia can be reached by ferry or car.

There is currently not an airport on Hvar equipped to handle international traffic. However, there is an airfield between Stari Grad & Jelsa that is suitable for light aircraft. By Bus

Croatia itself has a good national bus network that will take you to any part of the country including Split.
Regular international bus lines connect Croatia with all neighbouring countries, as well as most middle European and west European countries.

By Train

The Croatian National Railway www.hznet.hr connects all major Croatian cities including Split www.split.hr.
There are direct lines to Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, France, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Yugoslavia. There are indirect lines to almost all other European countries. The types of train services that operate in Croatia are the following: EuroCity (EC), InterCity (IC), express (Ex), fast (B), local and accelerated trains.
